Chloride content: 0.5% MAX
Sulphate content: 0.3% MAX.

Warning

This chemical possesses potential hazards such as eye irritation; it can also affect central nervous system and can also affect the fetus of expected mothers.

On direct exposure can cause skin irritation, rashes and boils (especially on facial skin), and headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea etc.

First Aid Measures :

Inhalation : If inhaled directly take the person away to a well-ventilated place for fresh air. Seek medical attention if the person is unconsciousness.

Skin : if comes in contact with skin, take away the contaminated clothing from the body and wash the contact area straight away. If irritation or burning sensation persists, get medical aid.

Eyes: if the chemical gets in the eyes, wash your eyes thoroughly with cool water for at least 15 minutes. Then if irritation persists get medical attention immediately.

Ingestion :

Do not incite vomiting except if the permitted by the medical professional. Go for medical aid immediately. Do not feed anything to the unconscious person.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

  • Inhalation : can cause irritation to the upper respiratory tract and lung tissue.
  • Skin Contact : can lead to skin irritation and burning sensation. May lead to rashes and boils. On prolonged exposure, it may lead to skin cancer.
  • Eye Contact : may cause irritating sensation in eyes.
  • Ingestion :  ingestion lead to irritation of mouth, throat & stomach, central nervous system depression as well as stomach ache, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea etc.

Storage & handling :

  • Storage: Store in a cool, dry place
  • Handling precautions: Avoid direct contact with eyes & skin.
    • Avoid direct inhalation.
    • After using, Wash hands well with soap and water

FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Appropriate Extinguishing technique : make use of any of the specified stuff for extinguishing the fire :

  • Water
  • Fog
  • Carbon dioxide
  • Foam

Use self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH, as well as full protective gear while extinguishing the fire.
